Inside, you’ll find includes articles exploring tapestry and embroidery, including a look at 17th – 18th Century samplers and tapestries and the schoolgirls who learned to embroider them.
Jenny King, young master embroiderer, specialises in “freehand stitch embroidery” on her 50 year-old, hand-guided machine. She has designed wallpaper for Stella McCartney and is currently embroidering a dress for Vivienne Westwood.
