Selvedge print journal – embroidering the truth

Selvedge is a sumptuously printed, design-led, bi-monthly magazine looking at textile in interiors, fashion, art, craft, travel and shopping.

Bernard Tartinville’s cover photo draws you into the ‘Thread’ Issue 62, which is now on our shelves in the Library, Journals, Zone 3 (map at foot of page).  Inside, you’ll find includes articles exploring tapestry and embroidery, including a look at 17th – 18th Century samplers and tapestries and the schoolgirls who learned to embroider them.
